i'm back! .... at work. sigh doing some job that really doesnt seem to be interesting. and yet its tedious, like playing with excel sheets, excel booklets and excel functions. woah! thats like alot of exposure .... to excel! -_-
15 days of new year is nearing to an end.. i've gotten some 4 treats of small tibits brought back by people from their 家乡… of coz, i've given out the foodies that i've bought back from Beijing as well. Just gotten a 蛋干 from Fangfang, and interestingly, the brand is called 天芳… okay aside, its a product of 微州… not heard of that city before.. the food looks cool as well.. egg+beef smashed into a rather flat sheet like 豆干… hmm.. looks delicious.. will have it for tea break since its nearing lunch soon.
as for updates of my 旅游记，have visited the famous historical places in Beijing for the first 4 days of CNY such as 长城，紫禁城，故宫，云坛，奥运鸟巢 etc.. have also spent our tour grp's count down to 初一 at Beijing outside our hotel within minutes of arriving. along the way to our hotel, fireworks and 'explosives' were seen and heard in almost every speck of sky. its really a wonderful and spectacular scene considering that the bus ride is half an hour+ and you get no rest for your eyes of the sparkling sight. well of coz, if this were to be the case, the rest of the night will not be spared. indeed, the fireworks lasted way past our playing time, which is till almost 3am. why playing? coz we bought fireworks to set off too!! simply beautiful to be standing directly infront of the explosives and under the shimmering sky. it would have been more perfect if my boy was there for me to hug =)
despite the bad weather in Shanghai that persisted before we left for Beijing, there was no delay on the to and fro trip as the weather has improved by then. thus, we duely touched down on the 10th, and back home in the wee hours of 11th =) but without resting more than 1 day, the bunch of us 5 who had the longest CNY holiday, plus one other who took leave, set off on the 12th for a backpack tour...
everything was in a rush. actually planning only started on the 11th, and the purchase of train tickets were done only at 4:55pm of that day. we ARE the last bunch of customer for the ticketing booth, which closes at 5pm. lol. packing wasnt much since it was supposed to be 'backpack' so we arnt supposed to carry too heavy a bag. but of coz, the 2 of girls on this trip sort of were the ones who brought the most. heheheh!
and despite us 2 having to leave for a trip that next morning, and the other 2 girls in our household having to work the next day, we did up a nice set of V-day gift for the guys. stayed up till 2am for that. woah. it was worth it, coz our 3号男人 appreciated our effort and put in effort for our return gifts too. its really sweet of them ^.^ dont be jealous okie my dear boy. heheheh! better tell me you like yours too, you havent yet!
back to the description of the backpack trip.. yupz, went to 无锡 and then 常州, and stayed 2 days in each of them.. the former has places such as 三国城，水浒城，西湖， of which the first 2 are places where movies are shot (like you know those 古装背景) and the 3rd is known to be one of the bigger 淡水湖 (fresh water lake) in China. the later, 常州, has Asia's largest Dino park, 恐龙园! okay but i admit that i am not a lover of thrill ride. i only play the computer game "Roller Coaster Tycoon"! hahahha! so considering that i've taken just 1 out of the 5 highlights thrill rides when the others took 3, wohoo, i'm satisfied. i dont want my heart to be dropping out =p
all in all, the Beijing 5 days (actually only 4 days) costed my close to 3k in total spending (plus airtix), but the backpack trip costed me only 850+ Yuan for 4 days 3 nights. =) though i've losted some items (so sad) in the second trip, I have not regretted my travel. hope the 三号人 get to together the next time to explore more lands! waiting for you to come my dear..
well well, enough of updates, I've not worked in the past 1 hour! and its 11:58am, lunch time already! oh no! =b
