the more I think of it, the more perplexed I feel. and angry. and I can't concentrate at work.. on CNY eve, I approached my manager and asked if I could follow out for lunch since the coffee shop isn't open. he said use your own discretion, if there's nothing to do u can leave after 1pm. I was overjoyed and thanked him. coz I simply had nothing to do that day.. so I left at 1pm lor. ystd he came back to me and another colleague. said we give him trouble by leaving at 1pm on CNY eve. wth la! he was the one who said can leave after 1pm if got no work. by common sense if u don't go for lunch u can't expect a person to stay in office for too long after lunch hr right?! another manager told off to my manager that we left at 1pm.. and so he came back to say we should have left at 2-3pm... wth. as if he really meant that when he said can leave after 1pm. coz if he did he would say can leave after 2pm, or any later time instead. stupid. he just wants to cover his big ass, and push the blame to us and say we give him trouble when he is the one who approved initially. very smart huh, but sorry you can't gain ur subordinate's trust and support this way if u don't help ur subordinates. it's really stupid, coz instead of telling us off, he could simply settle and tell us to file for half day to cover our own ass. why has it gotta be the subordinate to suggest how to resolve the situation huh huh?! and this manager of mine went on to give example of how other sales colleagues stayed till 2-3pm. well, I told him 2 staff would have left at 1pm too, if not being told off by the CEO for playing pool during lunch (like wth also lor). and this manager ignored the statement and said that 'but they left at 2+pm so there's still reason to cover' and so they wont have to take that half day. this is nonsense. totally nonsense. argh!!
