oinks! finally! i've finally managed to crack my old handphone to get past the stage of security code which i had apparently forgotten. as all old nokia phones require a SIM card inserted to startup the system, I had to insert in my china card which i still kept, and u can imagine how wonderous i felt when i found msges marked unread in my inbox. after so damn long. and there is this feeling of nostalgia as i was viewing through all the old msges which apparently had stored in the sim card. i do miss... well anyway, its a good thing my phone is back up, at least now i can get a sim card for my parents =)
i know i know, i havent been updating for eons. my life has been rather exciting for the past, 1.5 months? hahaha it has been that long that i've been lagging here. i hope this doesnt persist else my wonderful readers here will miss out on my life! hehehe yeah, so now unfolds...
my grad trip was in australia from 28th may to 14th june. the original plan was to fly to perth from sg via budget jetstar, spend 3 days and fly to brisbane coz that the earliest avail flight, spend 4 days at brisbane and have a 7 days roadtrip down to sydney and then end of at melboure before flying to perth and return flight back to sg. yeah - originally as such. but all thanks to the widespread of H1N1, the group of us 6 had to change plans and head to Adelaide from Sydney. ie Melbourne was forgone. lucky for us tho, that the flight from sydney to Ade is made possible by just a change of airtix and additional of some hundred bucks - AUD. the trip was basically filled with interesting experiences : there was once we had to spend a night in the car as the sydney airport closes between 11pm to 4am and our flight is at 5+am. yeah, both domestic and international airport, hence everyone is barred from entering beyond the reception counter. there was another time when we had disgusting forfeits thanks to the two drivers who happily suggested while us passengers were having great fun 猜拳-ing behind. the day at dream world was exceptionally memorable to me for those rides which i prolly will not have the guts to take again. there was also once at blue mountains when most of us were almost blow away, or either that, almost went deaf. haha ok that was an overstatement but the wind was really strong and cold so much so even the guys were complaining, hahaha. and despite being suan-ed over and over during the trip, it was one of the things which also filled up as memories of the trips. though we did not manage to go trekking, it was one of the rare trips friends get to hit the roads together. i wonder when will be my next trip out with friends especially when everyone else starts/settled down working. i so wanna go diving /..\
after resting a few days at home (ie self quarentine, haha), the next 2 weeks were filled with interviews and meeting with friends almost everyday. the week before commencing work was especially hectic. my dear comp crashed on monday wee hours, and damn lenovo operates only 9am-6pm mon to fri -_- then it was majong session later the aftnn; tuesday was the interview for my current job, followed by K-ing in the afternoon with the 1.5 couples, and dinner with the hubbers; wed was supposed to sign a contract for a prev job offer, but i got confirmed then for this current job so all plans changed. it was then followed by an 'insurance talk' and Transformers at night =P thursday, supposed to go to SSC for the Da Vinci exhibit, but my friend clearly forgotten. hahaha! night time was dinner with a friend and exchange of grad trip gift, hehehe. friday power, it was a day for fixing items and gown testing, hahaha. i went to suntec to fix my hP, then to simlim to buy DVD to backup my comp, then to funan to fix my thumbdrive, then to potong pasir to try on the gown. phew. 3 electronic items to fix in that week, lucky i had my things backedup just a week before then. and it was only then that i got called up to inform that i'll be due to start work on the following monday. saturday was a nua-at-sentosa day =) and sunday, was planned with an afternn at library looking through books on vegetables. hahaha!
yes, i am currently working in a company that specializes in fresh produce, and as they'd describe, is a vertical supply chain themselves owning farms in china and vietnam, take charge in packing and distribution channels, all up to wholesaling. and now they are looking into expanding their sales and marketing force, which explains why i am in there. i have already been travelling around, and even on the first day of work, to sentosa, NTUC, etc to meet clients with my boss. recently was a trip to major supermarts with another fresh grad colleague - to buy grapes. wahahaha! having started on 6th jul, it has been a good 2 weeks till now, and although my direct boss is rather new in the line of perishables, he is goodnatured and patient to teach me. that's one of the important thing that will drive me to stay on after 3 months of consideration period =) although i havent exactly learnt much skills, things are still smooth till now. hope the office environment will remain conducive when another sales manager comes in next week, as well as others more to come.
it is with no doubt that I personally gets tired easily to wake up early at 7:30am every weekday and on some saturdays. although i am lucky enough that my workplace is not too far from office and should not complain, its still difficult for me to get accustomed to such timings. on days that i do not have activities after work, i have been sleeping at 10plus pm, but even so, aint energetic enough the next morning. i'm a pig. hahaha please share with me any methods of morning energy-boostings - other than coffee which i am already having.
like i previously mention, i do not wish to lose touch with my friends despite most of us having started work. blogging is one means i use to update and share my personal life with all, but pls do not hesitate to initiate a ketchup session with me even i had not with you, especially if we hadnt met for quite some time. do rest assure that chilli can be provided too ;) for now, i wish all my dear readers an awesome week ahead (^.^)v
cheers!
